Timelapse Of Visual Synthesis At Tedxcph (long Version)

On September 18th 012 650 people gathered at TEDx Copenhagen. During 9 hours a 6 meter graphic recording was made by Thomas Thorhauge. Four times during the event, participants gave over 1000 inputs to create 4 large posters displaying what the participants answered to following 4 questions:

1) What moves us?
2) What ideas do we find worth spreading?
3) What actions will we stop/start doing, based on inspiration from today?
4) What big questions do we wish a future TEDx Copenhagen to deal with – and who would be great speakers?

This shows the making of the mural and 3 visual visual synthesis posters.

Cartooning Climate Change

BP Cartooning
There is a group of Danish Cartoonists who has created this site where they from now on and up to the COP15 will post illustrations and cartoons. We hope to engage with the group in terms of some of the events we will be partcipating in. Thanks to Erik Petri for the link.

Co2penhagen Festival

co2penhagen2
The next four months Copenhagen is buzzing with activities, events, projects etc which all lead up to COP 15. There is a lot of data, information and communication out there. Some of it is scary, some confusing and some inspiring. The Co2penhagen Festival is of the inspiring kind: A positive approach. The entire communication and visual language signals that we can have fun and support each other while doing something good for the climate. This weekend we will try to find ways of contributing visually to the event – be it the concerts, the talks…or something else. Got any ideas?

Titanic Can’t Sink

We attended the Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen in March and tried to capture key insights from some of the speakers.

Do You Know A Bright Green Youth?

Bright Green Youth
We have just been chosen as partners in Bright Green Youth – an Innovation and Climate Camp for youth aged 14-18 year. Other partners include Danfoss Universe and the Danish Association for Co-Operation. The Camp is held in Denmark August 2009 where 3-400 participants will come up with inputs to the Copenhagen Summit (COP15) in December. Visual language and graphic facilitation will be key elements in both the design and hosting of the event. If you know of a bright green youth you think should attend – contact BGY.
