Our friends at Xplane just sent out a newsletter with the above big picture showing the Cap Gemini Accellerated Solutions Environment. This concepts originated from our heroes of MG Taylor and has since also been a key ingredient in what our heroes at The Value Web does. And here is a good quote for everyone in business to take in:
“The power that a single image has to convey an enormous amount of content is underappreciated in business today. However, the ability to create such a piece that is simple, clear and elegant is a real art”.
This was said in connection to the above Xplanation. We will here take the liberty to broaden it out as a statement around the field of graphic facilitation, visual dialogue and communication.
We are very proud. As of last Monday, Loa Baastrup has started her internship at Bigger Picture. Loa will be following our work, contributing to both training and deliveries. Loa has already been in the spotlight graphically recording her first session at the Constructing Worlds. Together with Stine Arensbach Loa supported Bliss Brownes session. You can follow Loa’s work and explorations into visual language, thinking and practice on her blog Visuel Dialog (It is in Danish).
Bliss is the women behind Imagine Chicago, an innovative civic project founded in 1992 which has inspired a global movement on six continents. Recently she did a short workshop at the Bigger Picture office. Afterwards we had a chance to talk with her about the value of visual framework in social construction.
Several hundred young people from all over the world meet saturday to tuesday in Soenderborg, Denmark, to come up with new ideas to face the climate challenges that the world is facing. This was four intense days with ideation, new friendships (and most likely new sweethearts), fun and hard work for the young people, and resulted in several concrete ideas that will be presented at the COP 15 Summit in December.
We are right now preparing our participation in Bright Green Youth in Sønderborg, Denmark. BGY has invited over 500 young minds from all over the world to give the Climate Council at COP 15 Summit some visions and good ideas as to face the climate challenges we are facing.
We are always on the lookout for the diversity in the field. Today we bumped into this great woman from Japan. We hope to meet up one day (maybe we already hade at www.ifvp.org) and learn from a different culture. We really like your style!
